Technology Applications
I'm Shirley Barr, Multimedia & Webmastering Instructor. My enthusiastic Technology Applications classes at Aldine Senior High School enjoy learning Multimedia using applications such as Publisher, Powerpoint and Photoshop. My Webmastering classes start off with HTML codes followed by Photoshop and Web Design applications such as Dreamweaver, Flash and Fireworks. Both classes design a Student Portfolio at the end of the school year. I look forward to expanding my curriculum this school year by teaching my students about the educational and entertaining opportunities on the World Wide Web and skills to access these resources.

Aldine High School Business Co-op Activity On January 29, ten Aldine High School Business Co-op seniors participated in the Ruby Reed Academy Career Day activities. Rodolfo Banda, Michel Berumen, Jesus Espinoza, Vianette Gomez, Melissa Hernandez, Lourdes Hinojosa, Stephanie Inthavong, Johnny Lopez, Hemy Saldana and Ricardo Sosa prepared handouts and presented information to six classes of Reed Academy students.

The co-op students talked about choosing a career to suit your interests and passion, showed the academy students how to fill out an application form, prepare a resume, and get ready for an interview.

The high school students enjoyed the experience and the academy students enjoyed having the attention of the “older” students. It was a great experience for both groups.
