Texas Association of Future Educators or T.A.F.E.
T.A.F.E. is a statewide organization that offers students the opportunity to explore the teaching profession.  The sponsors are Angela D. Hollier and Steven Toliver.

T.A.F.E. Objectives:
To learn about the teaching profession, its opportunities, responsibilitites, and its important role in your democracy.

To explore their interest and abilities in realation to the various fields of teaching.

To cultivate the qualities of character, service, and leadership which are essential in good teachers.

To learn how and where teachers receive their training, the cost, scholarships available, number of years required, certification requirements, and standards.

To study the lives and influence of great teachers.

Aldine Senior High School Student Council
Aldine Senior High School, home of the "Mighty Mustangs," opened its doors in 1956.  The high school is located in Houston.  Aldine is a 5A multicultural school, as diverse in activities as it is in students.  Student Council  advocates leadership through Blood Drives, Food Drives, Community Services, and Environmental Projects with the local community.  This council is very proud to host the annual Homecoming Dance and activities.  They have been very active in local, district, and state TASC projects.  Aldine SHS has hosted  numerous Spring and Fall conventions for District 7, have held office in District 7 consecutively for the past 19 years, have earned Sweepstakes Awards for the past 18 years, District Advisor for the past 4 years, and was president school of TASC in 1993-1994.  Thanks to all the hard work  and dedication of all the former officers and members, along with the current officers and 80 members, Aldine Student Council will serve as District 7 Vice President for the 2010-2011 school year.  After 54 years, we are still "Producing the Nation's Best." Go Mustangs!!!
