Aldine Parent Connect |
Parent Connect is designed to link parents and schools together via the Internet. It enables parents to access their children's school records including such information as assignments, school announcements and current progress. E-mail capability is also provided for improved communication between parents and the school. Parents can sign up for e-mail alerts on aspects of discipline, absences, tardies, and assignments.
If you have more than one student in Aldine, all of your children's and their records can be accessed from a single log-in. Your log-in user name and password are good for as long as your student(s) remain in an Aldine school and your account shows activity. Information will be uploaded daily late in the afternoon, so please visit the site often to check on your child(ren)'s day.

Magnet School of Engineering |
Each area of the Engineering program is based on Project Lead the Way, a national curriculum which focuses on dynamic partnerships with schools that prepare diverse student populations to be successful in the fields of engineering and technology. The Carver Engineering Technologies educational plans are comprised of the following components:
Architectural Engineering - Students create architectural and mechanical designs with C.A.D. software used in professional engineering.
Computer Engineering - Students obtain several certifications in this plan including A+ certification, MOUS and networking certifications. Upon completion, Carver students are well-versed in programming languages, computer networking and telecommunications.
Manufacturing Engineering - Students learn to fabricate parts and tools by reading plans, utilizing computer software and by operating the CNC lathe, CNC mills and other technical equipment.
Electrical Engineering - Students learn about direct and alternating currents that drive the technologies of the future.

Magnet School of Visual Arts |
The Advanced Visual Arts program is based on studio classroom experiences in the areas of design, drawing, painting, printmaking, photography, sculpture and electronic media. Students rotate through each area and are guided by master teachers.
Carver’s program is delivered in a small school studio environment that is designed to prepare students to be successful in college-level visual arts programs.
The Carver program features: Field trips to local art museums, galleries, art schools and colleges. Opportunities for student work to be exhibited in professional venues throughout the city. Carver is host to guest artists and speakers who represent art schools from across the nation. Scholarship opportunities unique to Carver are offered to our students often solely based on the strong reputation of the Visual Arts program. Students develop portfolios hich receive local, state and national recognition.

Magnet School of Performing Arts |
Vocal Music - Students studying vocal performance are highly involved in a teamwork process by learning to listen to one another in order to create performances that best showcase the talent of everyone participating. There are both individual performances as well as group performances such as show choir.
Dance - With the influences of ballet, Pointe, jazz and multicultural dance, students in the dance plan leave Carver with the ability to continue training in college or in a professional performance company.
Instrumental Music - Instrumental music opportunities at Carver include guitar, piano, and string orchestra (violin, viola, cello, and bass). Students perform and develop an appreciation for a variety of music including classical,popular, and folk.
Theater - Theatrical performances involve production, staging, choreography and technical theater. Student productions are held throughout the year. | | |
