Mission:
The National Honor Society is a service organization that teaches students leadership and team-building skills. Membership is based on grade point average, and students are tapped for membership. The NHS sponsors the annual OctoberFest, and participates in other community activities such as the Christmas Tree decorating contest and tutoring students at MacArthur's feeder schools. Members earn cords and stoles by fulfilling mandatory activities, tutoring hours, and community service hours.

Students must adhere to district academic, attendance, and behavioral requirements in order to try out and participate in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities
