Coach McGowen graduated from Rockport Fulton High School in Rockport, Texas, her hometown. She attended Lamar University, while there she ran track and was a member of the nationally ranked cheerleading squad.

Coach McGowen has been teaching for 23 years, with 6 of those years in high school. She loves teaching middle school students. She believes that God gave her this love for a reason, to help not only athletes and P.E. students be their best, but also to help them at such a crossroads in their lives. Coach McGowen has coached volleyball, basketball, track, and cheerleading. She currently coaches volleyball and track. Coach McGowen also is the head of the FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes), that meets every Thursday morning, learning more about how to be a better person. She has a wonderful husband and an awesome son!!!!

Coach Jacobs is currently enjoying her 4th year here at Teague Middle School. She teaches physical education and coaches volleyball, basketball, and track. Coach Jacobs is really happy to be apart of the wellness/coaching staff. We had a good volleyball season and basketball is off to a great start. Before coming to Teague, she taught elementary physical education in Spring ISD for 2 years.

Coach Jacobs attended all Aldine ISD schools and graduated from Aldine High School. Her undergraduate degree was earned from Texas Southern University. Outside of school, Coach Jacobs enjoys spending time with her husband and her three kids ages 10, 8, and 5. Her other hobbies include reading, working out, and triathlons. She looks forward to many more great years here at Teague. Lets Go Trojans!
