Kristin Craft, Principal

Kristin Craft was named principal at Stehlik after serving as principal of Smith Elementary in Magnolia ISD. Craft received her bachelor's degree in Spanish from the University of Northern Iowa in 1995 and her master's degree in educational administration from Sam Houston State University in 2003. She is currently enrolled in the Doctor of Education program at Sam Houston State. Mrs. Craft began her teaching career as a fourth-grade ESL self-contained teacher at Worsham Elementary in 1995. In 1996, she transferred to Hambrick Middle School to teach eighth-grade ESL language arts and work as the Title I skills specialist. Craft's peers elected her as Hambrick's Teacher of the Year during the 1999-2000 school year. She transferred to Stephens Elementary in 2000 to assume the position of ESL/bilingual campus coordinator and writing skills specialist. The following year she was named assistant principal at Worsham Elementary and was named that school's principal in 2003. Craft moved to Magnolia ISD in 2008 to serve as principal at Smith Elementary. Mrs. Craft has 14 years of experience in the field of education and she has spent 13 or those years with Aldine ISD.

Juan Carlos Vargas, Assistant Principal

Juan Carlos Vargas received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Central University in Chile in 1994 and his master’s degree in Educational Administration from Sam Houston State University in 2003. He is certified as a principal.Vargas began his teaching career in Aldine ISD in 1995 and was assigned to teach third grade bilingual at Carroll Academy. In 2003, he served as the Building Curriculum Specialist at Bussey Elementary. He was named program director of bilingual/ESL in 2005, and moved into the position of assistant principal at Stehlik Intermediate in 2007. Vargas has spent all 12 of his years in education with Aldine ISD.
He is the administrator for Mathematics, Bilingual/ESL, and Transportation.

Shandra Garner, Assistant Principal

Shandra Garner graduated from M.B. Smiley High School, an attended the University of Houston Downtown, where she graduated with a bachelor degree in Social Science with a minor in English. She later pursued her masters’ degree in Educational Administration from Prairie View A&M University. Mrs. Garner has been in education for 12 years. Ten of those years have been in Aldine. Mrs. Garner’s responsibilities include Textbook management, G/T coordinator, Language Arts administrator, Dyslexia coordinator, Mentor & Mentee coordinator, Team Facilitator, Attendance Committee Facilitator, and disciplinarian for assigned teams.
“As an administrator the most important aspect is student success. It is also crucial that teachers are in an environment where they are allowed to work at their full professional potential. It is my goal to promote student success through the collaboration of parents, teachers, and the community."
Kanisha Wiley, Assistant Principal
Kanisha Wiley graduated from Aldine Senior High School in 1994 and went on to pursue her education at Texas A&M University. She graduated from Texas A&M in December of 1998 and immediately received the position of Special Education teacher at Aldine Senior High in January of 1999. Ms. Wiley served in this position until 2006 when she moved to Aldine Ninth Grade School to serve as the testing coordinator. In 2009 she was named assistant principal of this school. This school year, Ms. Wiley has joined the team at Stehlik Intermediate School as an assistant principal. Ms. Wiley has spent all 12 years of her career in Aldine ISD. She is the administrator over 6th grade, Science and Social Studies, Special Education, VISA, Parental Involvement, and Business Partners.

Suni Combs, 5th Grade Counselor

Suni Combs received her bachelor's of science degree in Elementary Education from Sam Houston State University. She received her Master's Degree in Guidance and Counseling from Prairie View A&M University and is a certified counselor. Mrs. Combs has been an employee of Aldine I.S.D. for 11 years.
"As a counselor, my goal is to ensure that all students are socially, emotionally, and academically successful in school. Students are given the opportunity to achieve their personal goals by having access to individual counseling, small groups, and classroom guidance. Collaboration between parents, students, teachers and administration will provide the best opportunity for success."
Melonise Judie, 6th Grade Counselor

Melonise Judie attended schools in Nashville, Tennessee, and received her bachelor's degree in Psychology from Tennessee State University. She received her master's degree in Guidance and Counseling from Prairie View A&M University. Mrs. Judie is a certified school counselor and a certified Special Education Counselor. Her teaching certification is in Special Education. She is a member of the Texas Counseling Association.Before working for the public schools, Mrs. Judie was in the private sector as a counselor working with children and families.
"My primary responsibility as a school counselor is to meet the developmental needs of students through the use of classroom guidance, small groups, and individual counseling with students. My belief is that students who feel good about themselves and have positive relationships with others achieve more and are more successful in and out of school."
