Gina Rigsby, Principal



Gina A. Rigsby is a graduate of Texas Southern University. She received both her Bachelor of Science degree and Master’s of Education degree in Educational Administration. Gina has both corporate and educational experience and has served elementary and secondary education in Curriculum and Instruction and Administration. Gina has served on the Magnet Schools of Texas Board as President,and President-Elect. She is also a School Reform Coach for the Houston A+ Challenge Foundation. Gina has nineteen years of experience in education, and has been an administrator in the Aldine Independent School District for thirteen years. Under her leadership, Reed Intermediate was successfully transformed into Reed Academy for Engineering, focusing on Architectural, Mechanical, and Aerospace Engineering and Robotics. The campus has received numerous national and state meritorious academic and magnet awards for “distinction” and “excellence” since its inception. Ms. Rigsby is a principal with high standards and great expectations for herself, her staff and students, alike. She encourages them each day to maximize their learning potential, perpetuate their knowledge and, “always make education the apex of their endeavor!” She and her team work effortlessly to design great minds, as they make it a journey beyond all limits!
Crystal D. Brown, Assistant Principal


Crystal Donatto Brown received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from Southern University and A&M College in 1995, and her Master of Education degree in Administration and Supervision from the University of Houston in 2003. She began her career in education in 1995 in Aldine ISD and has served as a teacher at Drew Academy, Inwood Elementary (Smith Academy), and Reed Academy; and both a skills specialist and an assistant principal at Reed Academy. Presently she is one of the instructional leaders in the areas of curriculum and instruction, administration and supervision, and discipline. She believes in servant and shared leadership, and promotes self-reflection as she works collaboratively with the Mathematics Department, Social Studies Department, Special Education Department, 504 Program, Early Intervention Team, and Grade Level Teams. She has knowledge and administrative experience in numerous other areas including Language Arts, Multilingual, Gifted and Talented/Accelerated, Testing and Assessment, Master Scheduling, Textbooks, Transportation, School Safety and Security, and Summer School. In addition to a number of civic, social, and religious organizations, she is a member of the Reed Academy PTA, the North Harris County Council of Teachers of English, the Texas Council of Teachers of Mathematics, the Texas Elementary Principals and Supervisors Association, and the National Association of Elementary School Principals. She is also a member of Cambridge Who’s Who Among Executive and Professional Women. Mrs. Donatto Brown works each day to fulfill her passion of making a positive difference in the lives of others and fostering growth and development in each student and staff member.

LaTasha Glenn, Assistant Principal



Ms. Glenn is an Aldine Independent School District Eisenhower High School graduate who attended the University of Houston to major in Marketing and Management. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration in 1995. She worked in Corporate America for five years in the profession that she chose, but her greater calling led her to the field of education where she began her teaching career in Aldine in 2001. Ms. Glenn attended Texas Southern University and received her Master's of Education in Educational Leadership 2007. She is presently the Magnet Administrator who serves in multiple capacities such as the Gifted and Talented Program, the master schedule, the Science Department, and two Professional Learning Communities. She also supervises campus intervention programs and serves as the Summer School administrator.
