In 2009, Anderson was recognized by the National Center for Educational Achievement as an Honor Roll School. We also received this award from 2001-2007. Anderson Academy was also recognized as a Gold Performance School by the Texas Education Agency.
In 2008, Anderson was the recipient of the Glen Hendricks Magnet Schools of Texas Award. We also received this award from 2003-2006.
In 2007, Anderson Academy won the Magnet School of Excellence Award. Anderson Acadmey was also recognized for Outstanding Academic Performance by the Division of NCLB Program Coordination at the Texas Education Agency.
In 2006, Anderson Academy received the Governor's Educator Excellence Grant in the amount of $90,000 to reward teachers for achieving high academic performance. Anderson Academy was recognized by Texas Monthly as one of The Best Public Schools in Texas for Reading and Math.
In 2005, Anderson Academy was the recipient of a 3 year $120,000 grant from the Houston A+ Challenge Foundation.
In 2004,2005, and 2011, the Texas Education Agency recognized Anderson Academy as a Title I Distinguished Performance School and as a Gold Performance School in the areas of Attendance and Commended Reading.
From 2003 thru 2006, Anderson Academy was honored as a Magnet School of Distinction by Magnet School of America. |
