Carmichael Elementary sends home a monthly newsletter highlighting activities taking place here on campus. The newsletter is translated each month into Spanish for our Hispanic bilingual population.

All grade levels have weekly homework Monday through Thursday in Math, Reading and Language Arts. They also have a daily reading log. Parents are asked to check their student daily homework assignment for completion.
Monday folders contain the prior week's work which has been graded and evaluated. A weekly conduct report also accompanies the folder, emphasizing the social skill for the week and the student's conduct grade. Regular parent conferences are offered to promote ongoing communication between the school and home.

Carmichael Cougars wear mandatory district approved uniforms that give pride to all who wear them. Carmichael uniform attire consists of the following:
Girls - navy or khaki long or short pants with red, or white blouses
Boys - navy or khaki long or short pants with red, or white shirts
Please remember, students may wear any type of school appropriate shoes or tennis shoes purchased by parents.

Every school knows the importance of a good PTA and a host of excellent school volunteers. Our PTA is supported by our parents, teachers and other volunteers who serve as field trip chaperones, room parents for parties, classroom tutoring program and much more.
