Wanda Roberson received her bachelor’s degree in economics from Spelman College in 1999 and her master’s degree in administration from Sam Houston State University in 2007. She is certified as a principal. She began her teaching career in 1999 as a special education resource teacher at Scott Elementary in Houston ISD. In 2001, she moved to Aldine ISD to work at Odom Elementary School where she taught third-grade language arts and was skills specialist, third-grade team leader and the school’s Teacher of the Year in 2004-05. She moved into the position as a fifth-grade language arts/social studies teacher and team leader at Marcella Intermediate School in 2007. She was Marcella’s Teacher of the Year in 2007-08. Roberson has 12 years of experience in the field of education and she has spent ten of those years with Aldine ISD. Wanda Roberson believes that ALL children can learn given the appropriate resources and guidance. |
